Pete Folch shares powerful tips for new life, energy, and vigor

Could your personal or business life use a boost? I’ve had the opportunity to hear Pete Folch with Second Wind-Finish Strong speak on this topic several times. Here’s what Pete recommends you do to REVITALIZE.

R Refreshment. Give your mind regular refreshment with positive reading, listening, and viewing. For quick doses of positivity, search YouTube for “inspirational movie clips” to find video clips of the most powerful scene in films.

E Encouragers. Surround yourself with and draw energy from encouraging people. Consider who is in your inner circle—they should encourage you.

A cheerful look brings joy to the heart; good news makes for good health. (Proverbs 15:30, NLT)

V Vision. Having a clear vision is life-changing. Know what success looks like for you.

I Inner and outer voice. The words you speak, whether to yourself or to others, matter. Be intentional with positive self-talk and with how you talk to others.

The tongue can bring death or life; those who love to talk will reap the consequences. (Proverbs 18:21, NLT)

T Thank you. Say that two-word phrase often. Develop an attitude of gratitude. In particular, thank the people who are hard to thank. For example, did you get a traffic ticket? Thank the officer for doing his job.

Everyone enjoys a fitting reply; it is wonderful to say the right thing at the right time! (Proverbs 15:23, NLT)

A Applause. Give yourself the gift of affirmation and appreciation. Celebrate the small wins and big victories.

L Let go. Yesterday ended last night—let go of it. Forgive and rebound quickly.

But forget all that—it is nothing compared to what I am going to do. For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? (Isaiah 43:18-29a, NLT)

I Inspire others. You can change someone’s day in a split second with a word of inspiration, and doing that will give you energy.

The generous will prosper; those who refresh others will themselves be refreshed. (Proverbs 11:25, NLT)

Z Service. Serving and helping others provides positive fuel for our spirit.

E Enduring faith. Keep the faith. Don’t give up.

So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up. (Galatians 6:9, NLT)
