This has nothing to do with publishing or inspiration, but it was something we just learned (maybe a duh! thing to some folks) that we wanted to share.
We have a number of solar-powered landscape lights around the exterior of our house. Recently we noticed that several of the lights at the back of our house weren’t working.
We checked to make sure the lights were turned on and adjusted the positioning of the solar panels—they still didn’t work. And then our grandson noticed that the solar panels were dirty with mud and grass clippings.
He cleaned the panels and that night they were as bright as the day we installed them.
Lesson learned: When solar lights aren’t working, make sure the solar panels are clean.
