God of Mercy,
Though You tell us not to fear, we are frightened.
As much as we trust and believe You, we are still bewildered by the animosity, cruelty, and evil that is so prevalent in our world.
Our first and last resort is prayer, so we come to You in praise of your greatness and in supplication of Your goodness.
We ask You to direct our thoughts and actions, that we may do Your work here on Earth.
We ask You to touch the hearts and minds of the world’s leaders. Bring them together in one accord so that all nations can live together in harmony.
We ask You to strengthen and comfort all people as we navigate these challenging days.
We don’t know what lies ahead, but we know that You will be with us every step of the way. It is with immense gratitude for Your love and guidance that we pray in the name of Your son and our savior, Jesus Christ.
Amen
