Why I’d love to have you join our email list
I have thousands of social media connections, and many of them are people I interact with often. While I appreciate that, I’d be much happier if those folks would join my email list.
Here’s why: A while back, I made a Facebook post sharing some brief comments about a sermon I’d heard and a movie I watched. It was getting a lot of discussion, but Facebook took it down because they claimed I was trying to gather sensitive information from others (I wasn’t—my guess is it was Facebook’s AI gone awry).
I appealed, but got no response. The post and some wonderful discussions are gone forever.
That was one post. Facebook—and any other platform—can, without notice, take my accounts down, leaving me without a way to communicate with my connections.
And it could happen to you.
That’s why the best way to stay in touch with your audience is to own your connections by having them on your email list.
It’s also why I’d love to have you join our email community. Just click here to sign up.
I can hear you thinking: I get too many emails as it is. I don’t need to be on any more lists.
Me, too. But I also don’t want to lose my social media connections. If something happens to one of the platforms I use, I want to be able to reach out to my connections and let them know what happened and where I am. Wouldn’t you?
So I’m inviting you to join our email community. We send one email each week on Saturday morning. We call it Shareable Saturday because (as you might guess) we want you to share it. Each email includes an inspirational quote presented in text and as a beautiful video created by Jerry Clement, a scripture of the week, often a link to one of our blog posts with information we think you’ll find valuable, and announcements about our books.
Occasionally (less than once a month on average), we’ll send out a special email. But we won’t be filling up your inbox every day.
The feedback we get about our Shareable Saturday emails is tremendously positive. We know the digital marketing experts say Saturdays are one of the least effective days to send emails, but we wanted to give you an encouraging message to wrap up your week and set the tone for your weekend.
I’m recommending you do two important things right now:
-
Go to CreateTeachInspire.com/ss to sign up and receive our Shareable Saturday messages in your inbox every week.
-
Invite all your social media connections to join your email list.
I look forward to sending you this Saturday’s inspirational message.
